Echoic Terms of Service

Echoic (the “Software”) is a desktop application that provides multilingual voice chat and real-time voice translation. Its speech recognition and translation capabilities are supported by third-party artificial intelligence services. By registering for or using the Software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Registration requires a genuine, valid email address verified by a verification code. You are responsible for properly safeguarding your account and password. All activity conducted through your account will be deemed your own activity. Do not share your account with others. If you discover any unauthorized use of your account, contact us immediately using the contact information in Section 8.

The standalone translation feature provides a daily free usage quota (currently 30 minutes per day, reset at midnight Beijing Time, valid only for that day, and not carried over). We reserve the right to adjust the amount of the free quota based on operational conditions. You may purchase a “time package” to obtain additional translation time:

• Time is credited through a redemption code, and purchased time remains valid on a long-term basis;
• Time is a virtual good. Once redeemed, it is non-refundable, non-transferable, cannot be withdrawn, and cannot be exchanged for cash;
• Translation time is measured by the actual connection duration of the audio input;
• If an account is banned for violating these Terms, any remaining time will not be refunded.

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Using the Software to distribute illegal, infringing, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content;
• Registering accounts in bulk, or using scripts or automated tools to obtain free quota or redemption codes;
• Reverse engineering, cracking, redistributing, or commercially reselling access to the Software;
• Interfering with or disrupting the servers or other users’ normal use of the Software.

Accounts that violate these rules may have their features restricted or be permanently banned.

The Software’s translation capabilities depend on third-party AI services. If an upstream service is modified, interrupted, or discontinued, related features may become temporarily unavailable or change. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice and alternatives. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the services within reasonable limits.

Speech recognition and translation results are generated automatically by artificial intelligence models and are provided for reference only. We make no guarantee regarding their accuracy or completeness and are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on translation results. Do not use translation results as the sole basis for decisions in high-risk contexts such as medical, legal, or financial matters.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Software or on the official website. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
